Wednesday, May 8, 2024 (8:30 AM - 11:30 AM) (CDT)

Description

In recognition of Asian American and Pacific Islander Heritage Month, this event is a collaboration between SBA’s Office of Government Contracting & Business Development (GCBD), the SBA Houston District Office, NASA JSC, University of Houston Apex Accelerator, Asian Chamber of Commerce, and the Indo-American Chamber of Commerce!

Small business owners are invited to attend and learn more about federal contracting opportunities and topics including:

  • SBA’s 8(a) Business Development Program – this program can be one of the most powerful tools a small business uses. This up to nine-year-term business development program aims to grow and prepare experienced small business owners who are socially and economically disadvantaged to be more competitive in the federal marketplace.

  • Business with NASA - NASA JSC representatives will provide information on how to get connected with information on procurement opportunities and the process and systems involved in responding to NASA opportunities.

  • Apex Accelerator - provide information on Teaming/Partnering and the SBA Mentor-Protégé Program.

Session will be informative and allow for networking and Q&A.
